Kathryn>> Yes, yes I did see this piece of cheese...on opening night no less! Here's the deal - my fellow carb and cheese aficionado and I were gorging ourselves on some fine Mac and Cheese. At 8:15 we decided to head over to the Yonge/Dundas AMC and see whatever was playing. It all came down to timing...seeing Bride Wars or waiting for an hour and half for another movie. I'm not proud of the choice, I'm just sayin'...
So after that lengthy preamble I'll get to the movie. Unless you're really into big white weddings with all the trimmings I would stay away from this one. Maybe worth a rental if you're looking for some mindless drivel light fare.
I was disappointed to see Anne Hathaway in this movie. She really showed what she can do in Rachel Getting Married and I gained respect, lost it a smidge in this movie but I'm hopeful she'll choose her next project carefully.
And truth be told it was kinda fun seeing this movie on opening night in a packed theatre. Lots of collective gasps from the audience, especially when hands adorned with diamonds were displayed for all to admire.
